Jules Verne's novels belong to works which are called “adventure”. In such works a lot of unexpected events and sudden twists in the plot happen, which become the driving force behind the adventure.

The adventure is almost always begins with a riddle. It is easy to see in the novel Captain Grant's where a mystery is found in the stomach of a shark a text in a bottle in German, French and English languages. To unravel the text its readers should refer to the geographic atlas in search of the thirty-seventh parallel vocabularies of three languages, and the heroes of the novel have to collect old maritime newspaper, where supposedly a confirmation of the departure of the vessel is. Throughout the novel, this text will be rethought three times; read in new ways, and eventually the puzzle will open.

Feature of the novels of Jules Verne is that even the amazing things the author explains with scientific precision, and the puzzles that he proposes never contain anything mystical.

Heroes of the novels of Jules Verne are bold and courageous people who are eager to learn more about the world and people. The author himself often makes a retreat to talks about the wealth of nature, forests, deserts, the mysteries of the ocean, the universe. One of the most popular characters in the novels of Jules Verne is a slightly eccentric scientist. This gives the author an opportunity to explain scientific phenomena of nature. However in Jules Verne’s novels, even the smartest scientist does not know everything. Boundless world opens up only some of its secrets, and untamed nature is always a stronger person.

Favorite heroes of Jules Verne - young men and teenagers who are learning to open the world. Knowledge and experience make them smarter, and adventure adds them some courage. At the end of the novel the good must win and evil is punished justly. And these moral lessons young heroes remember for a lifetime.
